This website does not collect personal data unless you give it to us voluntarily by e-mail, through the contact form, a reservation or a sign-up for an event.
What we keep
If you use the contact form, your e-mail address, subject and message reach us as an e-mail. We only use them to reply to you.
For a reservation or a sign-up for an event we keep your name, e-mail address, the number of people, the date and time, and what you fill in yourself (telephone number, remark). We use them to arrange the reservation and to send a confirmation with a link to view, change or cancel it. We keep the reservation until six months after the date you booked for and then delete it automatically.
We do not use these details for advertising and we do not pass them on to anyone else.
If you give a thumbs up or down to a tip in BierMatch on the menu, we only store which beers you chose, which tip you got and whether you liked it. No name, IP address or other detail of yours is attached. Your browser remembers locally which tips you have already rated, so you do not vote twice.
For BierMatch and BierRoulette we also count how often they are used: which beer or style someone chose, which buttons were pressed, whether a tip on the menu was opened and which beer the wheel picked. We also count in which minute of the day this happened. These are separate counters for our own overview. No name, IP address or cookie is attached and we do not keep a list of visits. If Global Privacy Control is switched on in your browser, we count nothing.
If you play BierRoulette in group mode, we keep for as long as the session runs the name and icon you enter, your limits and taste preferences, your game choice (Spin together or Surprise each other), what you pick for someone else, which round theme the host chose, whether you leave a beer standing (only you can see that), your rating of a gift (a thumbs up or down; the giver only sees it after the beer has been revealed) and which beers the wheel picked. Everyone in the same session sees your name and your beer. At the end the whole group sees which titles were handed out; under "Taste twins" it shows which beer styles two players both like, only the styles they share. A made-up name is enough; your real name is not needed. We delete the session and everything in it automatically: thirty minutes after the host ends it (that is how long the look back stays visible), after an hour and a half without activity and in any case within six hours. No IP address, e-mail address or cookie is attached. Your browser remembers your name, icon and preferences locally, so you do not have to enter them again next time.
Security of the forms
To stop bots from flooding the forms with spam, the site has your browser solve a small calculation. This happens in the background and no data goes to other parties for it. The website itself runs behind Cloudflare, which therefore does see your IP address.
To limit abuse we count how often an IP address or e-mail address uses a form. We keep those counters as an unreadable code and they disappear after a few days. Of blocked attempts we keep a short log, with a truncated code instead of the IP address.
Of the e-mails the site sends (confirmations, login codes and messages through the contact form) we briefly keep a record of when and for what they were sent. It holds a truncated e-mail address (only the first letter and the domain), the subject and an unreadable code instead of the IP address. We keep successful sends for seven days and failed ones for thirty days.
Cookies
We use a small number of necessary cookies to make the site work (for example session/preferences). No analytics cookies or tracking pixels are placed.
