Terrace

A terrace in the middle of the old centre

A sunny terrace makes a visit to Dordrecht complete. Exploring the city, on your way to a museum or just wanting to sit down after an afternoon of shopping: at De Tijd you are in the middle of the historic centre.

From the terrace you look out on a lively street where there is always something going on. The atmosphere changes with the seasons, but keeps the same familiar feel: relaxed, welcoming and unhurried.

Choosing a new beer on the terrace at De Tijd

Coffee or craft beer, you choose

Many guests start the afternoon with a cup of coffee and end up staying longer than they planned. Others sit down for a craft beer as soon as the sun comes out. Whichever you pick, the terrace is a good place to slow down.

Curious which beers we are pouring right now? Our tap selection changes regularly and the bottle list keeps changing too. What is on tap? Or have a look at our beers.

Rather start with coffee or tea? You are very welcome for that, too.

A place to get together

The terrace at De Tijd suits all kinds of moments. Meeting friends, a spontaneous stop during a walk through the city or a quiet afternoon with a book. There is no set way to enjoy a terrace.

It is that relaxed atmosphere that brings many visitors back. Some guests we have known for years, others discover us on their first visit to Dordrecht. Our story tells why De Tijd has been a familiar place in the middle of Dordrecht since 1988.

All year

Worth a visit in every season

On sunny days the terrace is a popular spot, but it stays friendly when it is a bit cooler, too. From the pub you look out on the same historic surroundings, so the atmosphere carries on from outside to inside.

So De Tijd is a good destination in summer, and all year round a place where you can easily step in for a while.

Summertime is always the best of what might be.
— Charles Bowden

Make your visit a full afternoon

A visit to De Tijd doesn't have to stop at one drink.

From the late afternoon you can also order pizza, freshly made by Piacere Italiano. The combination of a good pizza with a well-chosen beer is a firm favourite with many guests.

Would you rather discover different beers? Our tastings are a fun way to get to know a range of styles.

The area

Discover Dordrecht from our terrace

The historic centre of Dordrecht invites you to wander. Narrow streets, old warehouses, harbours and historic buildings are all within walking distance of De Tijd.

That makes our terrace a good place to interrupt a walk through Dordrecht. Sit down for a bit, have a drink and then carry on. Or decide that walking any further is not needed today.

Looking for more nice pubs and craft beer in the city? Have a look at our beer route too.
