The pub

Why De Tijd?

People have been coming here since 1988 for a good glass of beer and a reason to stay a little longer. Sometimes it starts with one beer at the bar. Sometimes with a coffee, a pizza, a board game or an evening with friends. At De Tijd you don't need to know how long you're staying.

And if you do stay, we'll happily bring some bitterballen, cheese or a toastie.

14 rotating taps

The tap list changes all the time. From Belgian classics to modern craft beers, there is always something you haven't tried yet.

A lot of beer

More than 170 beers in bottles and cans, from Trappists and gueuze to IPAs, stouts and everything in between.

On the Voorstraat since 1988

De Tijd has been in a building with a lot of character on the Voorstraat since 1988. The beers on the menu have changed. The pub is still here.

Time to stay

Board game on the table, pizza on the side, one more round. You know how it goes.

Since 1988

About us

What began as a pub for beer lovers has grown into a place where people meet for special beers, good conversation and a relaxed atmosphere.

With fourteen changing beers on tap, a long list of bottles and cans, and a team that likes helping you choose, there is always something new to try. A tasting, a good chat at the bar or a board game at the table: you decide how the evening goes. Read about our history and what makes De Tijd the place it is today.

Time to pick something

Our beer menu changes all the time. Want to choose for yourself? Have a look at what is on tap and what we have in bottles and cans. No idea what to order? Let BierRoulette do the work, on your own or with the whole table.

Browse our beers, spin BierRoulette or spin together with your group.

One should always be a little improbable.
— Oscar Wilde

Plenty to choose from without alcohol, too

Good beer doesn't have to contain alcohol. That is why De Tijd also has a selection of alcohol-free and low-alcohol craft beers. From crisp IPAs and blondes to dark styles, there is plenty to taste even if you don't drink alcohol. You'll find them all on the menu, and have a look at our alcohol-free beer page too.

Prefer coffee or tea? We serve coffee from Giraffe Koffiebranders, whole-leaf tea and a range of soft drinks. Just ask if you want a suggestion. Like with our craft beers, we're happy to help you pick something that suits your taste.

Time to play

Besides beer we like games that take just a little longer than planned. The cupboard is full of board games. Pick one, choose a good beer and just start.

Have a look at our board games page for more.

Tasting

Time to taste

Four different beers, a table full of glasses and someone behind the bar who can tell you about them. Our tastings are meant for discovering new beers, not for sitting an exam.

A beer tasting works well for an evening with friends, a birthday, a family get-together or a company outing with a difference. Tell us what you normally like and we'll take it from there.

For small groups you don't need to book. Coming with a bigger group, or want a tasting put together just for you? Get in touch beforehand and we'll talk through the options.

Want to know more about our beer tastings? Combine a tasting with our beer route through Dordrecht. Would you like to read a bit more about drinking beer in the city first? Have a look at our page on beer in Dordrecht.

A pub to hang around in

Some people come for just one beer. That doesn't always work out. With fourteen rotating taps, more than 170 beers in bottles and cans and a pub where you can sit for an afternoon or an evening, there is little reason to hurry.

From a classic Belgian beer to a modern sour, from coffee on the terrace to a board game at the table: you don't have to do anything in particular. Just sitting is a perfectly good plan too.
